Freedom Farm:

March 2008 - Angel graduated from her obedience class today!!! She is so sweet and loving, I am VERY glad she is part of our family. Thank you, Cathie Smith

Freedom Farm:

Jan 2008 - Petfinder is my doggie fix. I tell everyone about this website and what it does for animals, rescue groups, shelters and humane societies. I fell in love with an 8 year old Pomeranian with black hair and chocolate eyes like my mom had. He makes me smile everyday and fills my heart with joy and hope. Coconut was a puppy mill rescue dog originally named Bobo by FFAS. I wanted something to rhyme with Bobo, but also begin with a C for my mom who passed. Coco, Coco Chanel, Coco Puff; none of which were masculine enough. We went outside to get some fresh air and he starts running around like a nut.... thus, Coconut. We just celebrated our 1 year anniversary together this January!!

Freedom Farm:

Dec 2007 - From Bailey's new mom -Please help save lives by adopting rescued and sheltered animals in need of a good home like Bailey who found a wonderful loving home this year.

Freedom Farm:

Dec 2007 - From Lady Bird's new mom -Lady Bird is loving her new home and her nice, warm bed. Thank-You Freedom Farm for rescuing this wonderful little dog.

Freedom Farm:

Christy1.JPGNov 2007 - Thank-You for rescuing Christy. She had a fearful personality at first and we knew we would have to apply a lot of patience to work with her in order to build up her confidence. With plenty of patience, love and time, she has evolved into a wonderful devoted, loving friend and has learned to get along with the rest of our crew. We love Christy very much and thankful she has turned out to be a great dog and member of our family. James & Donna Duncan Gallatin, TN.

Dear Freedom Farm:

little_buddy.jpgAugust 2006 -My husband and I attended a Pet Celebration in White House back in September 2003. We adopted a Corgie mix that you guys called Fang. We re-named him Little Buddy and he's been a great blessing in our lives. If you want to see what he's up to these days, just check him out at http://www.myspace.com/little_buddy_dog Yes, he even has his own My Space page! Thanks for the wonderful work you are doing! Dear Wonderful Ladies at FFAS:

Ming.jpgApril 2006 -My new family and I just wanted to let you know how things are going for me in my new forever home. I get wet kitty food once in a while but mommy insists not too often because I'm not used to it and it isn't very good for my teeth. Catnip bubbles have proven a favorite around our home as well as all the kitty furniture and "huts" mommy has gotten for us. I have plenty of company since my new family all have very big hearts, I have four other kitty friends and four doggie friends. I have toys, toys, toys, and more toys! My sister Smudge and I love to run through the house at full tilt and everyone things we are so amusing the way we wrestle and play. I have recently discovered that I LOVE to be brushed. Trusting a new family not to abandon me wasn't easy but I think I'm starting to realize they love me and won't EVER let me go. We all need a second chance at one time or another, human and animal alike. Mommy says we should all remember our four footed friends more often and adopt new "kids"! Love to all of you at FFAS, Ming and his new family

Dear Freedom Farm:

jj.jpgJan 2006 -JJ is just a bundle of joy and we cannot thank all of you enough for taking such good care of him until he became our "baby". Just a note to let you know that I celebrated my birthday on March 14. The ladies in my office asked what I wanted and I told them "What I really want, is for all of you to pool the money you would spend on me and donate it to FFAS, and in turn I would match the donation". They came through in a great way. Within the next few days, you will receive their check in the amount of $220 as well as mine for the same amount.

Dear Freedom Farm:

Gracie3.jpgNovember 2005 -Hope, the kitty is doing great. I re-named her Anna Grace and we call her Gracie. (she is a very graceful kitty). She is growing like a weed--eats all the time. She loves all of her mice--but especially the one you bought her. She runs and throws it high into the air. She is quite active but settles down almost immediately every night when I turn off the light. She settles down next to me in the bed and sleeps until I wake up. When she knows that I am awake, she comes and gives me lots of kisses. So far she has not bothered the Christmas tree, not even the cat ornaments around the bottom. I have had cats that wanted to climb the tree, but so far Gracie just looks at it. She is quite a looker. I know she sees herself in the mirror, and I think she watches TV sometime. Her sister Callli has not yet adjusted to having another lady in the house, but I think that will come in time. Gracie would love her if she would let her. Again, thanks for taking such good care of her until I found her.

Thumper.jpg (9539 bytes)July 2005- I adopted my Jack and Thumper 3 years ago from Freedom Farm via PetSmart Cool Springs. I only intended to take home one of them but noticed they were very attached to one another. I didn't have the heart to separate them so I took them both home. I'm so glad that I did. I can't imagine my life without either of them. They are wonderful. I applaud Freedom Farm and what it does for our friends in fur. Thanks! Sincerely, Melanie Pastrana Click on the picture for a larger image.

one.jpg (9539 bytes)April 2005 -After being seen on PetFinder.com, Bogart joined his Forever Family when Mr. and Mrs. Nakoff drove from their home in Hamilton, OHIO to Westmoreland, TN to adopt him in April 2005. one.jpg (9539 bytes)March 2005 -Hello Freedom Farm family.  I just wanted to write and send you some photos from my new home.  Things are really working out well here.  Ellie is the dog that lives in the house with me.  We have become very good friends over the last few weeks.  They have a screened back porch that I just love.  Every morning I like to go out there and watch for birds.  After that I am usually exhausted and I go lie in my window hammock for a long nap.  Thank you all for taking good care of me until I could find my home. Love, Buttercup”

Still enjoying our Freedom Farm kitty!!!  As you can see from her expression in the attached photo, it is questionable at times as to how much she is enjoying US!  ha, ha!!  (Feel free to use this picture in any publication!!!  Just say who she is!!  I am a proud momma!!)
Merry Christmas, and thanks for all your hard work and love for the animals!

March 2004

one.jpg (9539 bytes)We made it home around 3:15 this morning.  We actually made great time.  It was a beautiful drive and there wasn't much traffic at all.  Cami did GREAT.  We took her new bed, folded it in half, and sat it between the kids on the back seat.  While we were driving she either chewed her blue toy or laid quietly.  When we stopped at the rest stops, she was more interested in the people than anything else.  She thinks everyone should stop and talk to her. She had a great night.  We gated her in our kitchen with her new bed.  When it was time for bed, she went right to her bed and crawled in.  We didn't hear anything from her until this morning.  She didn't chew anything or have any accidents. She is a really smart dog.  She tried to get up on the sofa, and I gently told her no.  Then she tried the chair, and I did the same thing.  Then she gave up and walked away to something else.

She is doing great.  She enjoys stretching herself out on the carpet and pulling herself.  I think it feels good on her belly.  It's very funny to watch. We took some pictures on the way home.  When I finish the roll, I will send some down to you.  Thanks to everyone at Freedom Farm for everything! Thanks again, Jenny.  We really enjoyed meeting you and everyone from Freedom Farm.

Lori, Scott, Karyn and Jamey

four.jpg (31246 bytes)I just wanted to write to let everyone know that Miss Charlie is doing very well. She is still very timid and will run under the bed every time someone comes near the bedroom, but she will pop right back out as soon as she is sure that she knows who it is. She is very loving and a very big purr box. I am very happy that Charlie was spared from the end of the road that was waiting for her. I want to say a special thank you to all the people who work so hard to keep these animals going, and take time to find homes for God's creatures. I am telling all my friends and clients to check out Petfinder.org so hopefully we can get more loving pets adopted to families who will love them as much as Charlie and I are loving each other. Much luck on every animal that passes your way.

five.jpg (6104 bytes)Hi FF, It has been almost a year since Misty came to live with us.  I can't begin to tell you how much we love her and we can't imagine our home without her.  She is sooo loving and smart.  She learns fast and I am taking her to her first agility class this week. I have attached a picture of Misty with her best friend Kramer.  We will always be grateful to FF for bringing her into our lives.  God Bless!

six.jpg (12401 bytes)Attention Debbie,

I immediately fell in love with the picture of Prissy. I am moving to a place where I will be all alone and she would be the perfect company for me. I have always wanted a Persian and recently saw a picture of a patient's Rag Doll and it was just beautiful.

Sincerely, Suzanne

October 2003

seven.jpg (10251 bytes)We just wanted to let you know that Rowdy is doing great. His name fits him perfectly and we decided to keep his name. We adopted him from the Rivergate PetsMart store in July. He loves his new home and family, especially Thomas. When Thomas goes out to skate board Rowdy is right behind him running so fast. He's a ball of energy! We live on a dead end street, very quiet neighborhood and he loves to be outside with Thomas. He gets along well with other dogs and has even finally learned how to get along with his roommates, 2 cats.
Rowdy has brought so much joy and laughs to our household. He is just the cutest creature and we all love him so much. We went out school shopping one summer day in July, for a back pack and shoes and came home with our Rowdy! Thanks Freedom Farm!

February 25th, 2003

Dear Debbie and Freedom Farm Staff,

I just wanted to send you a quick e-mail telling you how thrilled I am with my new kitten Whiskey. (Formally, Thomas)   My boyfriend, Kevin, adopted him for me for Valentine's Day and he has adjusted to his new environment just fine.  He and Liz, our dog, are getting along well.   In fact, I believe she tries to "mother" him at times and allows him to curl up with her.  She also plays gently with him and has shown no aggression towards him whatsoever.  They have become buddies which makes things much easier for all of us!  One thing I'd like to add is Whiskey is VERY smart..... I had bought a stuffed toy for him and threw it across the room knowing he'd chase after it for sure.... what I didn't expect was him bringing it back to me to throw it for him AGAIN!  YES! This kitty likes to play fetch!  He hasn't failed to bring the toy back to me yet.  He's adorable and a wonderful addition to our home!

Thank you all for having such an amazing program and for all your hard work!

Sincerely,

Michelle, Kevin, Liz and Whiskey

November 2000

Dear Freedom Farm:

My name is Cleo. I met my new mommy at the front door of PetsMart in Rivergate it was love at first sight for mommy and me. She held me in her lap as she filled out the papers for FFAS. Mommy's first dog was a Beagle and now she had me. This happened on Sat. Nov 18, 2000.

I went home with mommy, my James ( 19 yrs old) grandpa, & Nanny. We went by Nannie's first and then went home. When we got home. I met my daddy and I loved him right off. Mommy & Daddy went out that night for a few hours, and I stayed home. They found me laying in Daddy's Lazy boy which was ok with him.

On Sunday when they came home from church they had me a new bed, toys of all kinds, & bones rawhide real dog milk bones, I know they spent a lot of money on me that day, Mommy has made my color purple collar, leash, and Christmas fuzzy stocking. For Christmas I got toys from Santa and a stocking full of toys, mommy gave me bones & raggy doll and James and daddy gave cans of food. After X-mas mommy gave me a late present a new dish for my water and food. It is shaped like a bone and a bone shaped rug for it to sit on so I won't slide. Since I came home I have gained almost 5 pounds.

I love my new family.

Thanks, Freedom Farm

Dear Nice Animal Ladies,

thirteen.jpg (17985 bytes)I'm sending you a picture of me because if it weren't for you , I would not be living the life of a royal prince, which is what I deserve. Last winter a lady named Barbara called you because I was in a tree with dogs barking at me. You told her to give me to Mary Green, who would temporarily keep me. There were too many animals there but I got to move to her daughter's house in Franklin, TN. I have two servants Sally & Dave and they even bought me an Eddie George T-shirt. I look cute in it. My humans thank you.

Regally yours,

Eddie George Allen

Dear Freedom Farm:

About this time last year, I lost my cat, so I decided to adopt two cats and keep them indoors. We came out to PetsMart in Rivergate and fell in love with Longfellow (grey tabby) and Cuba (black tabby). They have become the best pets I've ever had. Thanks again for your continued efforts to rescue as many as possible and thanks for saving my angels!

Julia Howell

Dear Freedom Farm Friends:

fourteen.jpg (7951 bytes)We just wanted to thank you for giving us the opportunity to have Moe in our lives. We have had him for almost a year now and can't imagine life without him.  He is full of curiosity and love. Moe is a very good "helper" around the house. He loves to "help" his Mom & Dad make the bed, fold and put laundry away, as well as help his Dad read the Sunday paper.   Moe is also very playful. He loves to play fetch (more accurately than our dog), tease the fish through the glass, hide around the corner and surprise the dog when he walks through, as well as hide and then come running full speed and jump half way up his Mom and Dad, if we have not paid him enough attention to his standards. Most of all he loves his toy mice. He receives one every day when his Dad gets home from work.

Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to have this little guy in our lives.

Jim & Becky

Dear Freedom Farm:

It has been almost four months since I was adopted. My new mommy and daddy say I am growing leaps and bounds right before their eyes, but I still feel like a little puppy. I love to cuddle up in their laps while we watch television and I still love to sleep at the foot of the bed under the covers.

My favorite movie is "The Adventures of Yellow Dog". I've been to Atlanta and Chicago to meet relatives and I'm a really good traveler. I love to play ball and love raw carrots. I love warm days outside most of all. I was happy to hear that my three sisters were adopted too. Thank you for finding loving families for us.

Love, Abby

Dear Freedom Farm:

fifteen.jpg (10138 bytes)Ava & Audrey are such good cats. Very strong and healthy and beautiful. One is always underfoot and the other stays pretty calm until mealtime. She is the first one to the table. They have both bonded well with our 3 other cats.  Here are pictures of them before in a cage waiting for adoption and after they got home to their own room.

avaaudrey-f.jpg (9135 bytes)Freedom Farm accomplished their mission with these 2 girls. Thanks for everything.

Dear Freedom Farm:

sixteen.jpg (8969 bytes)I just want to thank you for Salem (you called him Black Jack) he's so much a part of the family. I love him so much. He sleeps with me. He is also spoiled. He has over 70 colored toy mice to play with among other things.  He sleeps with my sister's cat Crickett who thinks she is his mother. They love each other so much.

Thank you again.

Sincerely, Mary Cook

Dear Freedom Farm:

seventeen.jpg (15322 bytes)Our names are Guin & Smokey . We were adopted from FFAS on June 18, 2000 We were almost 3 months old at that time. We had our first visit to the vet the same day and our second visit 2 weeks later to get our 2nd series of shots. We immediately adjusted to our new home and we especially like chasing one another up and down the stairs. Our mom enjoys the entertainment we provide for her: we invent our own games most of the time.

She also plays with us and brushes us daily. We want to thank you for allowing us to be adopted and our owner wants to thank you for giving her the opportunity to provide a home for us.

eighteen.jpg (13880 bytes)Gratefully,
(Guin is the dark tabby and Smokey is the gray tabby.)
