Our CATS
Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary's cat program takes in cats in need of all shapes, sizes, breeds, colors. Cats are screened for health and temperament before entering the system. Adoption Fee is $105 which includes spay or neuter, shots, de-worming, flea prevention, and Feline Leukemia/Aids negative status. All cats are kept in foster homes until adopted. You can find out even more details about the personalities of the cats by e-mailing the cats' foster home, if the e-mail is listed next to the cat. The cats are displayed at the Rivergate PETsMART. You may fill out an Adoption Application & Adoption Contract and if you are interested in adopting a cat from FFAS. Certain cats have specific requirements, and needs, so not every application will be approved for every cat. This is to ensure that both adopter and adoptee find their best possible match. 
It is important to know before considering adopting that FFAS does NOT allow the de-clawing of adopted cats. For a great explanation as to why, check out www.declawing.com. FFAS also does not allow the cats for outdoor habitation, unless under certain pre-approved circumstances.
Currently animals are available for potential adoption through our sponsor Petsmart location in Goodlettsville (Rivergate). Cats are housed on-site at PetSmart's "Luv-A-Pet Center" during business hours. Dogs are brought to these stores on Saturdays from 10 to 2. All potential adopters must submit an FFAS application, be approved, and then sign a contract with stipulations concerning the animal's welfare. FFAS insures a proper fit between the family and their new pet through follow-up contact with the adopter.

Sammy LOVES to sit in a warm lap and have his neck and belly rubbed. He sometimes talks, but mostly purrs...A LOT! He would be a great companion for anyone with or without kids. I believe he was dumped because he was rescued wandering around in the rain, he was very hungry, tired, and seemed to have no idea how to be a stray. Cristo is currently on a special diet of prescription food. He's doing well on this diet; it's hoped that he will out-grown the need for this food. However, for now he must be on this food exclusively. He's certainly worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!
