Our CATS

Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary's cat program rescues cats and kittens of all shapes, sizes, breeds, and colors. The adoption fee includes feline leukemia/AIDS test (all are negative), spay or neuter, some or all shots (depending on the age of the cat), de-worming, and flea prevention. For kittens and cats up to 1 year old, the adoption fee is $105.00. For cats over 1 year old, the adoption fee is $85.00. We also sometimes have cats available at a special discount rate; check the cat's bio to see if it qualifies.

Some of our cats are on display and available for adoption at the Rivergate area PetSmart's "Luv-A-Pet Center" during the store's regular business hours. Many more of our cats are in foster care in volunteers' homes. To inquire about the location of a particular cat, email us at freedomfarmcats@comcast.net or call (615) 664-2380, ext. 51.

If you are interested in adopting a cat, you may fill out an Adoption Application and Adoption Contract. Additionally, all renters must fill out and return a Proof of Pet Deposit Form. Certain cats have specific requirements and needs, so not every application will be approved for every cat. This is to ensure that both adopter and adoptee find their best possible match. Freedom Farm requires all cats to be indoor only (no indoor/outdoor cats allowed) and does NOT allow the de-clawing of adopted cats. For a great explanation as to why, check out www.declawing.com.

To ensure a proper fit between the family and their new pet, FFAS will follow up with the adopter by phone or email a few weeks after adoption. As stated in the adoption contract, if for any reason the adopter can no longer keep the adopted cat, the adopter is required to return the cat to Freedom Farm.

If you have additional questions about our cat program--how to volunteer, how to become a foster parent, how to adopt a cat--please contact our Cat Coordinator, Jennifer Good by phone (615) 664-2380, ext. 51 or by email freedomfarmcats@comcast.net
